Target Range - Outdoors
The club’s outdoor venue for the summer season, from around April to late September, is at Hickleton Harriers Junior Football Club’s ground. Club nights are Tuesdays and Fridays from 5.00pm until dark and Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Covid-19 impact. Unless subject to general lockdown restrictions, there will be eight shooting lanes set at 4 metre intervals which can only be booked through the club’s booking system. Sessions are restricted to one and a half hours with a half hour gap between sessions to allow setup and take down of stands, targets and equipment.
Situated off he A635 just outside the village of Hickleton. Travelling towards Doncaster from Barnsley take the right turn at the crossroads just outside the village. The entrance is on the left through the first farm gate. The filed is approx 250 yards down the track on the left hand side through gates marked Hickleton Harriers. Target Range - Indoors
During the winter season, from approx October to late March, we use the sports hall at St Pius X Catholic School in Wath on Dearne. Club nights are Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7.00pm until 9.00pm.
Covid-19 impact. The indoor range is currently unavailable and is likely to remain so for sometime.
The postcode is S63 7PQ and the entrance is on Chestnut Avenue, not on Sandygate as the website indicates.
The club has it’s own field course at Savin Royd Woods just outside Haigh, on the Barnsley / Wakefield boundary.
Covid-19 impact. Unless subject to general lockdown rules, the field course will be available provided all the necessary restrictions are followed. Numbers of archers on the course will be limited and social distancing measures will be in place to control access to the course.
From the M1 Northbound, leave at Junction 38 and take the 3rd exit into Haigh village. Go through the village and the site entrance in on your left through a farm gate. Nearest postcode for SatNav is S75 2LR
